Dr. Joo Leem

BSc (Biomed), BDS (Otago)

After earning her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in 2013, Joo began her career at Wellington Hospital before taking on the role of Dental and Maxillofacial House Surgeon in Hawke’s Bay. During this time she treated patients with complex medical conditions and managed trauma cases, handling everything from tricky procedures to unexpected emergencies with equal skill.

Joo later returned to Wellington to continue her career in private practice. She loves connecting with her patients and brings an enthusiastic, personable energy that makes every visit enjoyable and welcoming. Joo has a strong interest in minimal intervention dentistry, which emphasizes a preventive approach to dental care.

Outside of the practice, Joo enjoys hobbies that keep her energized, including gym sessions and enjoying the great outdoors by running, snowboarding, and hiking. You may even catch her dancing along at local music festivals.
